Vintage Satin Baby Quilt
When I was a little girl, I had a small satin quilt, which went every where with me. It had just the right amount of wrinkle making it interesting to look at from any angle.
Recreating a vintage satin quilt was fast and easy using the quilt-in-the-hoop designs from the Vintage Floral Quilt Blocks set, and the back of the quilt looks just as great as the front!
How was it done?
The quilt was made using Pajama Satin, cotton quilt batting and backed with a cotton polka dot fabric so that it would be soft warm, and washable.
The bobbin was wound with the same Orchid PInk embroidery thread as the stippling and center motifs of the blocks. Then we used Robison- Anton Pebble Stone for the outline of the quilt block and to add decorative stitches around the outside of the quilt.
We used the new Janome AcuFil square 180x180 hoop, which made lining up the block designs super fast and easy!
No Stress and no hoop-burn on the satin.
